To cumbiambera2005, I'll answer your question as follows:
I use Firefox 3.0.4 under both Jaws7.0 and 8.0. I do so because some sites work better under Jaws 7, and some work better under Jaws 8. Its pretty Jaws friendly, and if you configure NoScript properly, that is hard to do the first few times you use it, and has some issues with some sites, damn you Youtube...:) The keystrokes you use under IE can be mostly transfered to Firefox easily enough.

Under my copy of Jaws 8, sometimes when I close Firefox, it don't close properly, forcing me to go to task manager to close it. If you have anymore Firefox questions, ask me in this thread, and I'll try to help you out when it comes to switching from IE to Firefox, and to best way to do it, at least in my experience.

i've been a firefox user for a while now, i don't use IE unless i absolutely need too anymore. for one firefox loads pages a lot quicker than IE has ever done it, i've also had a lot less spyware on this system since i got it.
s for jaws and firefox, 8 works ok with it, 9 and above work almost perfectly with it, you may have problems once in a while, but nothing works absolutely right 100% of the time.

I should use firefox more, but it keeps crashing for some reason. I've just been too lazy to reinstall it.

Yeah, the new version of Firefox shouldn't crash as much. I just switched to Firefox last week, and I like it a lot better than IE so far. I haven't had any problems with it, and I'm using Jaws 8 and Firefox 3.0.4.

I got firefox last week since I decided to go ahead and try it out for myself, and it seems to work out quite well. I dont use it for everything, but I think it serves well for a secondary browser. There was one thing I didn't like though, I think it was the forms, like combo boxes and stuff like that, the way it is read, i think that kind of threw me off a little. Also downloading files seems to be a bit tricky. But other than that, seems to work well.

firefox is great! I'm using 3.0.1. How would I go about upgradeing?

what do you mean downloading files is tricky? i don't have much trouble with it, and sometimes the way firefox reads forms is nice, i found i understood it easier than IE. firefox is my default browser, and it's staying that way. heh

firefox, anyone? Shouldn't the topic be, firefox, everyone? Firefox and jaws 7 works ok, thogh I've experienced that jaws 7 will some times jump up and down on a webpage. 8 I don't know from a personal experience, though I can assure you spike knows what he is talking about. Imho anything above 8 is bloatware. Firefox is nice but takes forever to load some times. somdtimes in the download dialogue you need to mouse the ok button.

It works now after I reinstalled it.
Jaws doesn't give me an indication when the page loads.

If you install web vissum, it'll make a sound.

Hi all,
I'm currently using Firefox 3.1 Beta 2 and it works fine but once in a while, it crashes. When it does crash, I just deal with it. Nothing is perfect.

I just reinstalled web visum after reinstalling firefox. I love the captcha solver.

I doubt you would like if a software crashes everytime you use it.
